REspond
REspond is The Lion’s Share’s dedicated emergency response and care program, designed to provide immediate, compassionate support during local crises, reflecting the heart of Matthew 25:35-40. REspond ensures that individuals and families receive essential supplies and nourishment when they need it most. The program also offers tailored Respond Packs—care packages thoughtfully prepared to meet specific community needs. For example, packs for our unhoused neighbors include non-perishable food, water, hygiene products, and weather-appropriate clothing, providing dignity and comfort during difficult times. By addressing immediate physical needs and offering compassionate care, REspond helps reduce the long-term impacts of crises. Through this proactive approach, the program empowers individuals and families to navigate hardship with dignity and hope.
