A Future Initiative for Dignity-Based Hard Goods & Community Events
REstore is a planned outreach initiative under The Lion’s Share, designed to provide essential hard goods while fostering meaningful engagement through purpose-driven market events. This upcoming program will empower individuals and families by ensuring access to necessary items in a way that upholds dignity, promotes self-sufficiency, and strengthens community connections.
Once launched, the Market Place will serve as a resource hub where individuals can shop for essential items such as hygiene products, furniture, household supplies, baby essentials, and school supplies. Unlike traditional assistance programs, REstore’s Market Place will be open to everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status. Whether someone needs a dining table to host family for Thanksgiving, a single parent is seeking baby essentials, or a college student is looking for home goods, the Market Place will provide a welcoming space where all individuals can find what they need in a way that fosters dignity, choice, and community connection.
Purposed Market Events will combine practical support with community engagement. Planned events such as the Back-to-School Market will provide children with backpacks and school supplies, helping them start the school year with confidence. A Winter Warm-Up Event will distribute coats, blankets, and hot meals while connecting individuals to housing and employment resources, offering both immediate relief and long-term support.
Beyond material assistance, Community-Focused Interactions will foster meaningful relationships through mentorship, skill-building workshops, and volunteer-driven outreach. These initiatives will strengthen connections and equip individuals with tools for resilience and self-sufficiency.
As The Lion’s Share continues to develop this program, REstore will become a vital part of our mission to restore dignity, build resilience, and foster sustainable change. Through strategic partnerships and community involvement, we look forward to launching this initiative and making a lasting impact.
